I would like to see step groups and even stages as well have output variables

It would be a whole less complicated if I can define these (based on expressions pulling them from the steps in the group and then outside the step group I can use those references - making that section a black box essentially

This would be VERY helpful because we use a lot of templates as step groups, so being to define variables going in to the template and then going out means that the users of the templates do not need to know the inner workings of the templates and allows less knowledge users to still use templates in their pipelines
